When I execute the launcher (Valiance_Launcher_32bit.exe) it opens, but after a few seconds displays the following message.

"Could not download the launcher version file!
File: 63.141.229.50/Content/Data/launcherversion_win.txt
Error: Failed to connect to 63.141.229.50 port 80: Timed out"

After that I can't do anything but shut down the program.

I ran the executable as Administrator, and added it to my firewall exceptions, with no effect. Is the server just down, or is there something else I can do?

I am having the same issue as well.

I was in world at 8:00am central time kicked out and not let back in. I uninstalled game deleted game and installed game again and get the same note when I try to start game. does anyone know anything more?

I loved playing COH, its to bad we cant get into this game it looks interesting hopefully we will get help soon.

At least I know I am not alone maybe it is growing pains

Read this thread so I went and booted it up for myself.
Started up and logged in just fine.
Maybe it's the files location?
I extracted the launcher to desktop. Only issue I have run into on launching is a small freeze delay on the loading screen after choosing my character.

EDIT: After signing in I got this message. Might be the reason for everyones problem.

Well I was able to log in and get through the character creator, sort of. Seems pretty... rough. I entered the world and was placed somewhere under the geometry staring at a white cube below me. Couldn't move or do anything. Relogging didn't change anything. I knew this was pre-alpha, but I guess I thought there would be some form of a game in place. Not sure why anyone would want to stare at a cube. I'll check back in a few months. Good luck with your development; looking forward to seeing the finished product.

You might want to try making more than one character... it's pre-alpha. Although not very many, a few people have reported 'the cube'. Made another toon and had no more problems. There are a lot of things to iron out, but if you need something more stable then I would agree - might want to wait for Beta or something.
