For the last couple of builds I've been unable to play. Mainly I get stuck at the splash screen after character selection/chargen. Today, I decided to try and do a full re-install to see if that helps. I followed the directions for re-installation (like I have in the past), only when I went into the AppData folder (MyName/AppData/Local), there was no actual folder for Valiance Online. Pleanty of folders for other games, but no folder I could find in either Local, LocalLow, or Roaming(I checked all three to play it safe after not finding it in Local like your instructions list).

Strangely enough, on top of that, after I re-downloaded the installer, and ran it, it started to download everything into the directory I used last time without offering me a chance to choose a different one.

If it helps, I'll say I'm running Windows 10 Home.

And I'm not sure if these are bugs or not, thus just trying to give you guys a heads up in case they are.

New launcher will create a folder in C:\WindowsPlayer unless otherwise specified.
All new launcher and patched updates will go there currently.

Server was down until just a little while ago for server upgrades in time for new content patches that are coming soon.

Later!

Thanks! And sorry about that.

If I might make a small suggestion though? You might want to make a note about the folder in AppData not being there (thus not needing to be deleted) with the newer clients on the page with the notes about installing the game. That way you don't have others end up confused about it while trying to delete and re-install the game like I did (and thinking it's a bug they need to report to you).

Thanks, and again, sorry!

Could also be a good idea to add the "-saveto" switch to that page. With that one you can change where the WindowsPlayer folder ends up.

Yeah no need for apologies... basically all the information is available - it's just scattered over too many media locations and types. The main blog which is difficult to soft through at times, Facebook, Twitter, Steam, and now we have here!

I'm sure that over the next few weeks there will be an effort to get all the most important information stickied in their respective locations throughout the new forums.

Just like above, now that you know the answer - you can share it when you see others with the same question :) That's pretty much what everyone tries to do I think.

Take care,
Mandrake
