I've been playing this on and off again and recently I decided to give the game another go to see what new stuff there is, but the launcher is giving me the following message

Could not download launcher version file!
File: http:/63.141.229.50/Content/Data/launcherversion_win.txt
Error: Failed to connect to 63.141.229.50 port:80 Connection refused

Is there currently an update in progress that I didn't read about? I did look around to see if anyone else said anything else similar to this, but couldn't find anything, so I was wondering if I was alone on this, or if others know whats going on?

Also, I uninstalled and deleted everything and re-downloaded in case that would help, it didn't

Same here. I've emailed support about it, so hopefully there'll be some news soon.

The server (and, I assume, this affects the launcher) is currently down. Little news as to when that will change. Twitter appears to be a better source for updates/news than this site and/or forum. And this link may help ...

I thought perhaps I was only one having this issue. I know it looks as though the original post here was from a few months ago but, I just downloaded the zip file to try to launch the game and it gives me the same error you listed. Does that mean that the servers are still currently being worked on? Sorry for any confusion. I was just happy to see this game after having missed CoH so much. I looked forward to trying to play it.
