I think allowing a ranged defense primary or secondary would open up interesting new archetype and ranged tanking options. Probably not something doable for the alpha but maybe to consider adding at some point?

When I checked the archetypes the first time I had the same thoughts. Ranged tank, melee/ranged hybrid and some other combinations are missing.
I´m pretty sure Silverhelm has more to come up with when the game runs a while.

ranged tank is exeptionaly hard to balance and not have it used to ai pathign exploit and pvp grief. they had a meele control/ranged control on list for a bit but that dosnt seem to be their again would be hard to balance for pvp, stuff like that tends to come later in games so that not everyone ends up using it
