I have the same for my desktop and I have not had any problems with installation or upgrades between October and now.

Once I installed to f:\Val it seems to continue to update without any problem.

I believe in installation you can pick your custom directory and then it just keeps installing.

maybe your using a different version of windows?(im using 7) no mater what i do it keeps trying to DL to my user folder rather than the valiance folder on my F drive that im launching launcher in. once its DLed (which takes me dangerously close to crashing windows at only 6gig of free space on HD) i can then move the file and exe to F drive, but if i try to launch the launcher from their it attempts to do a full fresh DL into C drive so next patch im going to have to do full download again(doesn't give me a DL location option for fresh full DL) and if it gets much bigger it wont be physically possible

I remember when 6G would be considered overkill.

I had to think about how I install Valiance and I can’t say I have ever accepted a default… I just do it the following way. Hell, maybe I am not doing it right. I just know my c:\ drive is kind of full so I put it out on d:\ volume or f:\ drive.
1.) Windows 10 Home workstation here – Open Windows Explorer and browse out to drive.
2.) I just right clicked and created new directory d:\val
3.) Grab the installation from forum location. I just download the .zip and open from temp location
4.) I copy the Valiance_launcher_32bit.exe and data folder to d:\val from temp unzip location
5.) From d:\val directory double click the Valiance_Launcher_32bit.exe
Note: don’t try to run from your temp unzip location.
6.) The directory d:\val\windowsplayer is created and the download process begins.\

7.) Download in progress…. Go grab a drink.

8.) From the d:\val directory at this point I just right click on Valiance_Launcher_32bit.exe and create desktop shortcut to run the game.
