Hey, so I downloaded the alpha launcher, because it's been a year since I looked at this game, and wanted to see how the progress was coming. And it's giving me an update from February... of last year.
Looking at the patch updates, I had assumed Valiance had stopped updating, was like "welp, this MMO is dead" and deleted it. But, incidentally, I saw Valiance Online's twitter feed on a different site and saw they had an update this Valentine's day! I was pretty relieved to see it's getting regular updates, but I don't know how to access them?

It seems that they just haven't updated that news feed.

I am sure that I have the latest patches and yet the latest news article/update I can see in the launcher is from feb 2015. Just checked and it did download a very small update (more likely correction), and I have launched it 2-3 weeks before today.

By that logic, I should be able to use the sliders, no? Haven't they put that on the update?

No, just check out their FB page - they keep it up to date pretty well. They aren't going to be adding the sliders until the new character models are in place. Although the ones in place now are 'new' compared to the originals, the 'real' new ones are absolutely amazing. Once they are in place, then some new clothes, the sliders, etc. will be in place according to the devs.

Just keep an eye out on FB and here in the forums, you will usually see some pretty regular chatter about what is coming up in the next update / patch / hotfix / whatever happens to be coming up next.

Now if only we can get them to start putting patch info in the updater... :/

Actually, if you scroll down the patch updates are in there. We're going to move them to another tab to make it more obvious in the future but we also post patch notes in the Announcements forum as well.

I think I might see where the confusion is AEGIS - the patch notes in the launcher say '2015' instead of '2016' - note to devs
