Tried to make a new character today, and the UI for the CC is still not working properly? Can't access appearance tab at all, unable to select "next" in bottom-right corner. How has this not been fixed yet, I saw this same bug over a year ago.

Oh and entering the game from CC still dumps me into a frozen camera view of the starting area with no character or interactions.

The CC UI is a bit confusing but should work. Some updates are being made to it to help. Keep us posted!

If you're still unable the top left of the Appearance button is the easiest way to get there, it's a quick second of maneuvering but you'll get it and it's awesome.
